Thoughts

Posted in 1990 - 2000 Poetry on January 6th, 1999 by Nick Razer

hear the screams
tears
and dreams
all the things unspoken unseen

see the light
awaken
at night
push your shadows just out of sight

all in vain
nighttime
will reign
in the corners of your minds disdain

Laceration

Posted in 1990 - 2000 Poetry on March 6th, 1998 by Nick Razer

in deep the cutting glass,
rigid it pulls skin from flesh,
torn bleeding, eyes weeping,
a scream escapes.  its just a

laceration.

Dastardly Deeds

Posted in 1990 - 2000 Poetry on April 6th, 1996 by Nick Razer

dastardly deeds
they lead
to things you dont need
pain…strife…riddle your life
from your actions
and passions
for hurt and anguish
you languish in your cell
underdeveloped
you swell up when people fess up
about you
and yours
you got your degree in bars
drinking and fighting the night enlightening
drunks and whores
who do nothing but come back for more
nightly
so rightly
i try to see what might be…

It Awakens

Posted in 1990 - 2000 Poetry on March 14th, 1996 by Nick Razer

A summer day
the did shine
the sky was blue and fair
A picnic planned
a carriage rented
we moved along the trail
We tied up to
an ancient oak
deep within the woods
And opened up
a wicker basket
and there, ate of the food
But upon the end
of our feast
the sky it darkened black
And poured forth rain
that soaked our clothes
flash lightning, thunder crack
It spooked our horse
the carriage fled
leaving us deep in darkened woods
So we ran along
a muddy trail
and there a cottage stood
Its windows cracked
a thatched grass roof
its walls covered and worn
It seemed so dark
and empty
but it offered us shelter from the storm
Through the door
we crept and groped
and knelt within the dark
While the wind
raged outside
and whipped the trees about
But when lightning
struck just outside
the flash light shone on the wall
And revealed
a cursed verse
that did to dark things call
The letters then
carved deep in clay
dripped and began to glow
And a
rumble from well beneath our feet
did begin to grow
So with that
we took up our heels and ran
and fled to woods from the sound
And in the moonlight
turn and gasped
as horrid beast rose up from underground.

Costly Actions

Posted in 1990 - 2000 Poetry on June 6th, 1995 by Nick Razer

rapid transition my mind is racing
pacing
the floor
of discontent
quick and sudden assimilation
tasting
the seeds
of all I spent

Metal

Posted in 1990 - 2000 Poetry on January 14th, 1995 by Nick Razer

All metallic metal bits
crunching grinding clacking clicks
twirling dials and winding wheels
stirring purring whirring reels
pushing levers moving switches
popping pistons oiled out glitches
welded and bent metallic parts
sputter and stir as the engine starts

Cliche Love Poem

Posted in 1990 - 2000 Poetry on March 6th, 1994 by Nick Razer

my memories of the city nights
and the thoughts of once fond days
within the realm of her delight
the corner of my mind remains

but as the days pass like tears
falling past like a gentle rain
days turn to months soon turn to years
time will pass enough to bury pain

The Pact

Posted in 1990 - 2000 Poetry on September 6th, 1993 by Nick Razer

screw your brains out on a martini binge
your life hinges on
fucking.
late night trips to the bar across town. alone.
fucked up somehow searching,
lost, reaching, whats the cost.
whats the price bitch,
a dinner, a movie, or how bout twenty bucks
right here, right now.
doesnt matter, we are all in the same bar.
same place. same time.
lost, dying, crying alone, in front of the mirror,
listening for the phone.

Why

Posted in 1990 - 2000 Poetry on March 6th, 1993 by Nick Razer

Why are you, the one I know…lost…imprisoned..
motherfucker bleeding incisors chomping..seething
teething away at the shit you get everyday.
Why am I, some lonely guy…unknown…dethroned..
at the peak of my life..but filled with strife..careening
leaning, high beaming on lifes highway screaming.
Why are we, motherfucker…we.
here, together now…..waiting, late again..anticipating
something that aint gonna happen..
Why…

Matters

Posted in 1990 - 2000 Poetry on March 6th, 1993 by Nick Razer

they chooses the ways they play
the loosers or the boozers
livin for a night instead of every day
pay…ing
for their death, or their eternal rest
with each and every breath and drop
and each and every step to the
bott…le
dont stop.. dont quit
life is short and they dont give a shit
a snort or a hit, bitch
thats the way it goes
hate grows in a life turned upside down
in a town where nothing really
matt…ers

Water Like Love

Posted in 1990 - 2000 Poetry on November 6th, 1992 by Nick Razer

i can see
your thoughts of being free
deep inside
the well of you and me
and even though
no water even flows
between us now
i long for it somehow

Incurable Ways

Posted in 1990 - 2000 Poetry on October 14th, 1992 by Nick Razer

Sensations of wicked and evil the damned.
Embracing the fallen and hungry and maimed.
Burning the fruitful and righteous to ash.
Enslaving the cohorts of dreams that are lost.
Things that were built are torn to the ground.
And destruction is rampant throughout all the land.
Societies lost children have risen to take.
All good things from the tormentors they hate.
Incurable ways brought on the changing of days.
The meek take the might and bring forth the new rights.
Incurable ways brouth on the changing of days.
Torrents of blood the hatred it flows,
down the channels of loves long lost vows.
Horrendous blackness the sky filled with the smoke,
the children of tommorrow bring on a new hope.
Fleeing the war cry the leaders all flee,
To caves deep in mountains and under the sea.
The crypt they choose one made by their times,
electric and concrete the tomb of mankind.
Incurable ways brought on the changing of days.
The meek take the might and bring forth the new rights.
Incurable ways brouth on the changing of days.
Years have long past and our guardians watch,
for the return of evil and all of its flock.
From tombs sealed in earth a respit of the past,
we all must stay vigilant or the truth will not last.

Laughing

Posted in 1990 - 2000 Poetry on October 6th, 1992 by Nick Razer

crowded streets
as raindrops fall
looking outside through a window

reflection lasts
in the glass
watching rain splash on the sill now

hear the beat
of rain and feet
crowded streets as rain falls

watching out
through the crowd
I think I see you laughing
and I could swear I hear you laughing

crowded streets
as raindrops fall
moving outside through the doorway

cross the road
to seek you out
to find the spot where you were standing

hear the beat
of rain and feet
crowded streets as rain falls

looking around
my clothes are soaked
I guess I didnt see you laughing
I guess I didnt hear you laughing

Bygone Days

Posted in 1990 - 2000 Poetry on March 6th, 1992 by Nick Razer

forbidden looks,
a wink a smile.
all the while lost in denial.
secret words,
all happenstance,
lost loves commanding trance.

but still alone,
we whirl and twirl,
all the moments lost in a swirl,
of bygone days.

Highway Road

Posted in 1990 - 2000 Poetry on April 14th, 1991 by Nick Razer

Highway road, traveling signs,
mile by mile, diners to dine.
Highway road, telephone poles,
endless wires, connecting countless souls.
Highway road, passing lane,
driving faster, through the rain.
Highway road, stars at night,
shining reflecting, on the pavement.
Highway road, stretched ahead,
endless lengths, forever.

Pain

Posted in 1990 - 2000 Poetry on March 6th, 1991 by Nick Razer

so true
this blue
feeling deep inside you
spilling out on the street
and all around you
it covers
and smothers and mutters and stutters
but you cant let go
because the pain is so new
and as it grows
it clasps and ices your heart
and you aint talkin or walking or hittin the park
and your friends all leave you cold in the dark
and your alone
so alone
so so very alone
until one day the door opens and the sun
it blinds you
with rays so bright they only remind you
of all the things that you missed and forgot to do
and you get your shit together and you know how to
just make things work
work for the better
but just around the corner you better never forget
the blue, this pain so true
because if you do it will be waiting for you.

Streets

Posted in 1990 - 2000 Poetry on February 6th, 1991 by Nick Razer

 walking at night
crackheads spill
into the sanctuary of the street lights

globes of safety
scattered throughout
the darkness of the alleyways

distant shots
an occasional scream
sometimes you get chased

while walking at night
the city streets
mothers arms to the outcast

Driving

Posted in 1990 - 2000 Poetry on March 6th, 1990 by Nick Razer

Gas tank is full and car is striving ever to go faster still
My hands on wheel and I am driving listening to my engine shrill
My foot is lead and it is pushing heavy pedal to the floor
Heart is pounding hand is reaching trying to open the drivers door
trees are flying, road is rushing past the fractured window glass
I jump out and tumble quickly as my foot blasts on the gas

tumble turning road is burning ripping on my face and skin
breaking snapping, bones are cracking as give off one final grin

driving.
